Have you ever watched Stargate? [the movie].

The idea came from there. Imagine a group of mercs/scientist discovering a world and studying it.

Playing an Offworlder on this mod will be though, but it is up to the player to improve her faction, there can be conflict between groups of Offworlders...settlements being attacked, captured....and still there's the risk an inhabitant of the planet finds them unpleasant and decides to kick them off world with a group or an army. [Though they would have to match their firepower Razz]

I like the idea of a squad team and the Stargate concept.
Would be interesting to play the first sesion like the movie, though it was in the firsts minutes of the arrival to the new planet Wink

You must make a RE like mod someday....

I dunno much about RE, but I worked on a little zombie mod in the past Razz In fact it was just to test the weapon system I had created for USCM.

A big estate, a few ammo, and a lot of zombies....Starting upstairs, you had to fight your way out Razz

Plus in USCM I worked on a virus T [yes im a bad girl i create virus and bio agents Razz] but I did not complete it so it wasnt released.


But at least i had created the mutant virus [i dont remember the name i gave it Razz], and the full growing cycle of an incubated alien Very Happy

Speaking of that, people have voted for aliens in LoS, so they might show Razz Those Offworlders, they should be more cautious with what they bring around.. Razz
I might even add a mission like the crashed ship on P4P-228, alien like Very Happy

Plus a few lost Predators in the jungle, lol Very Happy

Just a little note because i am happy Razz

Siege Machines are now fully operational!

Still need a certain amount of improvements to achieve what I want, but at least I was able to target, load and fire a catapult on a group of Grundak Very Happy


Soon there will be artillery bombardment [use of beacons, and laser designated targets Razz], air strikes, and why not orbital bombardment as well Very Happy

Improvements done Very Happy

All the code is made, and a catapult is out of the factory Razz
Now I just have to duplicate my catapult, changing appearance, set up a few data, and I can create as much siege machine types as I want Very Happy

There is at least an annoying issue, but well, I'll put that on NWN engine and its lack of Z axis. ... The missile always hits Z axis 0.0 ...so if you fire on a hill, wall, anything that is over 0.0, the missile will go through and hit Z 0.0

With all those vectors, cos and so on, my math teacher should not have scolded me before! Now I get my revenge!

The weather system is already in, but I'm waiting for a reply from the creator, because I'd like a thing disabled, and it's not clear in his code.

I use Olander's Realistic Weather System.

Well, aside of the large amount of things that must be learned, i think combat system isn´t very dificult; it reminds me a mix between stormbringer and runequest :p
